Read more Features & Benefits Tech Spec Each package contains a 500 ml (~17.6 oz) bottle of 405 nm resin teal in a leakproof bag with extra padding for shipping. Compatible with most DLP and LCD printers, this easy-to-use material should be handled with protective gloves and goggles. Low odor formulation makes it hassle free. Shake well before use. High Detail 3D Resin Print in finer detail than you ever thought possible with HATCHBOX resin. While filament might be your go-to, resin unlocks a new frontier of creation. This two-step innovation (resin + UV) results in high resolution prints with smooth surfaces that surpass FDM 3D printing! Fast Curing Spend less time printing and more time designing with a quick-curing UV resin formulation that can reach a curing speed of 2 seconds per layer. HATCHBOX resin gets your designs from concept to implementation faster, without cutting any corners. Print, wash, dry, print again! Strong and Durable Resin 3D printing creates products that are ideal for most situations, whether mechanical or simply aesthetic. With a tensile strength of 46 MPa, it’s less brittle than other materials and creates prints that are just as functional in a machine as they are elegant on a shelf. Read more Why HATCHBOX? 3D PRINTING RESIN: (1) 500 ml bottle of 405 nm wavelength, 46 MPa tensile strength, fast curing resin for high quality, general purpose printing. Exhibits excellent fluidity & cure characteristics that make it easy and reliable to work with.
HIGH PERFORMANCE: Hatchbox Resin is a standard photopolymer 3D printing resin that requires UV curing via LCD/DLP printers. No matter what kind of light-based printer you work with, our resin is THE choice for performance, quality, and value.
FDM VS. RESIN: While thermoplastic filament is the go-to for many applications, resin is a material growing in popularity for its performance capabilities. With every print, you'll enjoy detail reproduction you simply can't get with filament, along with a tensile strength (46 MPa) that ensures its longevity.
BENEFITS OF RESIN: This low-odor, low-viscosity formulation is easy to work with. Low shrinkage means precision prints that look the way you designed them. Beginners and experts alike rely on Hatchbox 3D printing materials to deliver the frustration-free reliability they need to save time and money.
WHY HATCHBOX: We’re proud to produce the highest quality printing materials on the market with the reputation to back it up. From art and design, to prototypes and functioning parts, Hatchbox is trusted to provide the best in 3D printing technology.
I got an email from Hatchbox about their new line of resin. I am a big fan of their filament for my collection of Enders, so I was eager to try it.I’m new to resin printing, and chose a few not great bottles to start with. Been having problems with models failing, despite my best efforts. This stuff here has given me great results right off the bat. 8 seconds @ .03mm, 60s base layers, 1.5mm/s lift. That’s for my Photon S, w flex plate, could probably do less on the bottom w/o a flex plate. The print has a great feel in the hands, and I don’t even like teal so much, but the color is great in the prints. A little pricey for a half liter though. But I’ll take that over frustration and fails. When I saw Hatchbox was making resin I wanted to try it. Their filament used to be my go to until quality issues started happening last year. Last roll I ordered was fine with no issues. Resin printed on a Creality LD-002H mono printer. This resin printed, cleaned, and cured with no issues.I've always had great results with Hatchbox filament. Got very excited about Hatchbox resin. After using the Gray I got great adhesion and amazing details. I will now be going to Hatchbox resins for my SLA and of course my FDM..For the price of a 500g bottle, you can get a FULL kg of ABS-like from Siraya or Elegoo instead. This is NOT worth the drastic price increase.I have a Voxelab Proxima and this resin works with it perfectly fine using standard settings. Make sure you dial in with your specific machine to get the absolute best detailing you can. I was happy with the level of detail at the standard settings and extremely happy with it once I dialed it in. The smell is like any other resin of this type and I vent the room and use an air purifier to remove toxins/chemicals from the air when using it.This resin has been a joy to use. I have printed tons of minis with this resin and as yet not had a failure. The first layer sticks really well and the rest of the prints came off flawlessly. My printer is a Nova 3D printer. I am using a flex steel magnetic plate for my build plate. It really makes cleanup quick and easy. Speaking of which the smell from this resin is not overtly strong or bad in any real way. I cured it In my UV curing box and cleaned it up with 99& IPA.I've used Hatchbox filament on my FDM printer for years with good results, so I thought I'd try this, their foray into resin. As you can see from the label, it's designed to have a little flexibility, which is actually nice for tiny models with high detail - it's probably intended to prevent breakage of small features. The photos show the color - it's more of a blue-green than a true green (the Opto-Green I previously used was greener and yellower).Printed on a Phrozen Sonic Mighty 4K, the resin was able to reproduce my test model (you may recognize it) accurately and without failure on the first try. Incidentally, this test model is about 1/2" tall, and I print it in batches of 36 to check for failures on any specific part. This resin produced 100% complete models with no failures. Removal was easier than some other resins I've tried, with relatively easy removal using a palette knife and a moderate tap. What was good to see is that the base features (the tiny little toes) didn't chip off or stay adhered to the base (I purposely did this for testing bed adhesion vs. tensile strength). On little Groghu I was able to flex the ears without breakage, something I haven't been able to do with my other resin tests. For reference, here are the machine settings-.030mm layer height-6 bottom layers-2.5s exposure time-15s bottom exposure time-6 transition layers-7s light-off delay-9s bottom light-off delay-50mm/min lifting speedPhotos are all taken after the following post-cure process-Agitated soak in 91% isopropyl alcohol (IPA)-5 minute ultrasonic bath in water with a drop of detergent-7 minute UV cure in SunLu rotating curing platform (9 models per cure batch)I'll likely buy this resin again (full disclosure, I got the first bottle in exchange for this review), as I've been mixing blue and green resin lately to get this particular color.I hope you find this review helpful - if so, please let me know.
