The best products come from the best materials. This rings true especially in fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printing. Choosing poor quality material limits your creativity and stops you from realizing your true vision for a particular piece. As a result, you create something that looks okay, but nothing to write home about. But that’s not good enough, is it? Our brand believes that thoughts and concepts should translate well into a gorgeous finished product. This printing filament we developed can help you achieve that. Build high-quality prints and models with the Layer Up 3D Printer PLA Filament! Say no to mediocre prints and use our 1.75 mm diameter premium printing filament. It is made from first-rate raw materials that give it low viscosity and remarkably high durability beyond common PLA spools. With these properties, it’s super easy to use on most common 3D printers. This filament prints fast at 40-70 mm/s, yet it leaves no small filament between models. It also comes in a clear spool so you can easily check how much more material you have to work with before starting a project. Our PLA filament spools are available in a variety of colors. For this specific type, we have 10 different colors available: black, blue, gray, pearl, pink, red, red brick, rose gold, stone white, white. Textured PLA filaments are also available within our product family. This stuff is horrible. I got it for Christmas and finally had a chance to use it today (March 20, 2022). I made a couple of decent prints, then it started clogging the hot end. I cleaned it out and would clog again after just a layer or two.Sticks to the build plate with ease. Didn't get stringy on any of my printers. Ran it on delta's and cartesian style. Set the temp to 200 on the nozzle and 60 on the bed and it worked great. No extrusion problems or tangles.Brittle and very difficult to print with. I only recently was finally able to print an "ok" result with this filament (I ordered three different types and they all have the same problems.)I can and have printed a variety of expensive and cheap filaments from PETG, ABS, to PLA using nozzles from .2 to 1.0mm in diameter.I'm using an Th3dstudio tough all metal hotend with a 40mm cooling fan and 5015 part cooler fan. Ive tried 190c-235c and just about every time the filament eventually jams or underextrudes. Seems to be worse when printing slowly indicating this filament suffers badly from heat creep despite exhaustive measures I've put in place to prevent it (including using Borin Nitride paste to promote heat transfer in the heat break.)After extensive testing, the only time I can "reliably" print this filament is when I completely disable retraction (using direct drive, retraction was only 1.5mm as it is.) I have to print it fast to prevent it from sticking in the metal heartbreak (lubed with oil, and also tried a dry ptfe lubricant, both of which helped but did not fix the problems.)Overall, I do not recommend this brand. I can only assume the filament has been exposed to high humidity and/or uv light due to the brittle nature of it, but despite that, the texture and flow characteristics are just bizarre. It acts like elastic at melt Temps, when pushed through the nozzle by hand it springs back into fat blobs when pressure is relieved.Very strange. Buy hatchbox or overture instead. While a normal low-cost functional PLA 1kg roll might cost around 16 bucks on a good day, I paid the 26 for this one specifically because I was excited about the exact color and marble of the filament, going for a colored sandstone to clay color with the marbling. It's a fine filament, and the marbling looks good, but the filament itself has far less of a colored tone than in the photo. So, on the unlikely chance that you're buying this filament for that colored-sandstone-marble look like I was, be aware it's a good bit lighter and less colored than in the photo provided!I ordered a roll of white PLA, it prints... alright. The adhesion is great but for some reason it seems to come out alot slower than any of my other filament, almost as if its not quite melting. This leads to a stop and go pattern that looks almost like under extrusion. I thought it was my nozzle at first but after swapping it out for a new one, that is not the case. The color is almost white, but not quite. Its more of a pearl white color. Looks nice, just not what i had expected. This is really a nice pretty silky rose gold. It's more frosty pink than bronze-ish, as "rose gold" seems to have two flavors. One super cool thing: It's fairly transparent in one layer, so I'm printed several items with one layer of the rose gold over a difference base color. The effect is pretty amazing. I've tried it over black, white, and purple with great results.Product came in a bag and not boxed and the plastic spindle roll broke in a few spots. Wish they would improve packaging. Besides that, the filament prints great!Bought this PLA as I have a habit of testing out new brands and I was pleasantly surprised. I have a flashforge at work and a qidi at home for personal use and i’ve taken my spool to both locations for a couple of small projects and have had no issues on either machine. So no frills to report, but I was very satisfied that this box comes with a resealable silver bag to keep the spool fresh when not in use which is huge for my work as we keep loads of these things nakedly stacked on eachother when they’re not in use, for extended time periods.
