Easy install, n everything works like a champ.. thought trying to get an answer about stuff, like where to buy em locally is very difficult through customer service.. i had to mail order it through amazon.. took a few days to get here.. needed it right away though.. So, star customer service was not helpful at all.This receipt printer is great, but what really makes it 5 stars is star micronics customer service and warranty repair. I had a small issue with one of these printers having a tiny broken piece amd star was quick to help fix the issue amd send the printer back in record time. Some of the best people to deal with. When you buy this printer you have the peace of mind that it will last and/or get fixed for you for at least 5 years.Bought this and out of the box register opener didn't work. Being busy I didn't get a chance to send back under Amazon return policy so called manufacturer and gave them serial number. Told me they could send a replacement and would fix mine after filing out paperwork. Filled it out and was told tough luck no exchange no repair. Not sure what was wrong but couldn't waste anymore time and bought a a new one which does workI bought this printer in September, it's now May and it's broken. I wouldn't suggest. We're not a super busy business, we print maybe 15 receipts a day just to sign credit cards. We don't print receipts for clients we email them. And it's broken beyond repair.It works as described.I am happy with the printer.It shipped on time too.Everything was great. I'm going to order another one.Great and easy to instal. Just make sure you order extra receipt rolls, because it only comes with half a roll.The printer doesn't work and we can't get in touch with support .I have to protest the charge on my amx card
