Although my photo doesn’t show the color transition well, the color transitioned from green to golden yellow to golden orange. This rainbow silk filament from GiantArm has beautiful pastel colors throughout the reel. The beauty of the print exceeded my expectations with its rich glow. I printed with my normal PLA settings. The perfect filament for baby shower decor to mystical creatures. There is a generous amount of each color so it is better suited for larger prints if you want to see the color transition.I will be buying more.I've always heard silk PLAs have bad layer adhesion, but this is about as strong as your normal PLA. It has a glossy, near mirror finish. The only downside is when I received it, the filament was a little moist and required a little drying. It passed all my calibration test on my first go. I’ll definitely to try other filaments from them in the future. 60c on the bed, 215c on everything . I printed with an Anycubic Vyper.Ordered this silver PLA to print some Mandalorian items. Worked very well and looks great. Used an Ender 3 v2Pretty fun filament. Did a temp tower and a sharkz bite and they both turned out well. (The stringing is mostly because it is humid in my house right now and I forgot to use my dryer box) The glow looks amazing in my picture which my phone auto adjusted brightness. In reality it's a bit dimmer like average UV glow items. The spool is wound nicely and good quality. (Which I appreciate since I use spool rollers as shown in the picture.)The filament itself is decent PLA, so two stars, but the product description (and the spool label) imply its luminescent glow is multi-colored, and it's not. It's just expensive green glow-in-dark PLA. I suppose that, if you buy several pairs of colored sunglasses and wear them in the very dark room where your 3d print is glowing, you can pretend that's multicolored PLA. A printed part will glow with varying intensity as expected with varying material thickness, but it's just varying intensities of green. I consider this deceptive advertising. Easy test: take the spool outside in the sun for a few minutes, then carry it to a darkened room. Enjoy the consistent green glow.Update: Only the first 180cm or so was all green. There's color in the spool if you're patient. More stars as a result! The color is beautiful and the end result was great but took forever to get this filament to stick to the bed. I never have adhesion issues but this took about 6 tries to get to stick. If it stuck a little sooner this would have been 5 stars. Great color and finish! This is vacuumed tight. Color looks great. Can't wait to print this. Have to decide what to print with this pretty color. Die paar Blobs bekommt man sicher noch weg, wenn man sich noch etwas mehr Zeit für die Einstellungen nimmt.I am no stranger buying filaments from Giantarm (Think they were Geetech in the past) and I usually look for a few things on brand new rolls:- Packaging (all vacuum sealed to guarantee freshness and no moisture)- How the filament is wound around the spool (it's gotta look neat because it guarantees no tangles)- How it prints (obviously it needs to print well)Well, this filament has it all. It prints wonderfully well, it's well packaged and well wound around the spool. Beautifully well wound if I may say so!The colour is matt black which is great because nobody likes shiny black filaments. It also makes it easier to cover with any colour you may want if you wish to do so.I printed with the following settings on my Ender 3:Temp: 205Bed: 50Layer Height: 0.24 (on a 0.4mm nozzle)Speed: 55mm/sAdded a B&W pic to try and show some of those lovely lines.Definitely a recommended PLA for any of your 3D printing needs.First things. This is the most nearly coiled filament I've bought yet, though I've had no problems with less neat rolls but it looks nice.Vacuum packed and in a sturdy box. It's black! What else can you say about the colour, it's practical for my intended use which is practical items.First print was a temp tower as I always do, it performed reasonably well across a wide range but the best looking parts seemed to be around 195 / 200.Next print was a couple of cable clamps I drew up in tinkercad to secure the cable of my espresso machine, (it's a very thick 3 phase cable).Printed nicely, resulting print is good and solid.Very pleased overall with it.The world is swamped with suppliers of 3D Printer filament these days. Some good, some bad.I have using various brands over the last 1.5 years and have had some great ones, and some that cause issues with all or some of my printers.White filament is also one of the more difficult colours to print with, I guess due to the lack of impurities, but this worked brilliantly.I have used the whole spool now as I have numerous parts to print for my other hobbies and not a single issue (must be in tolerance).I printed at 210c with a 70c bed temperature. Honestly I would say 200c could probably be better for normal printing but due to the increased speed I was printing at, I usually increase the temperature. As you can see from the photos the prints are really clean and the the filament come very well spooled.I think I have found my new favourite filament from Amazon.Great silk filament. Any time when I buy a new filament, I always print this model so I can see what it looks like when printed and also to see if there are any incosistencies with the extrusion.I found that many silk filaments suffer from an inconsistent extrusion because they contain additives that make them softer, so at the time of production, they tend to be wound harder that they can cope with and they deform, resulting in filament that it's diameter is not only inconsistent but also visibly flat or almost square like. This one is perfectly round and hence why there are no issues with extrusion. Fantastic results, can't wait to print something more substantial. Will definitely buy more of the same manufacturer in other colours.
