Aluminum is better than plastic for holding things in place. If you're adding the dual Z-axis upgrade to an Ender 3, this is a good addition to install at the same time. I liked that there are no tabs indexing with the frame - that could create problems if any of the (let's be honest) cheaply made components are out of square.
