whole lot of YouTube and still years of failureThe plotter only comes with basic software and the upgrades cost more than the machine.Cheaply made will not purchase again.I’m a 100lbs and I put it together with just a screwdriver I haven’t tested it yet but it turns on and looks greatThe machine is perfect the program that comes with the machine is not Universal and they do not tell you what a works for and what it don't and it has a bunch of errors in it overall machine is good program is horrible which makes it a waste of money to charge for the programPerfect for what I needed forPerfect very easy to learnNiceI was very excited to buy a vinyl cutter. I was just waiting for my budget to allow for a $500 purchase. Well that time finally came and I decided to purchase this cutter, after wishing I had one for about 2 years.I live across the country from Vevor, but the cutter came to me very quickly. It arrived in a large, awkward box that was left on my front steps. It was not so heavy that I couldn't lift it but the length of the box made me decide to grab a dolly and move it around with that.I excitedly opened the box to check out the contents. At first glance it looked like it was all there. I grabbed all the pieces to the stand, which you have to put together yourself, and grabbed the instruction book and gave it a quick read.As I began to lay out the parts for the stand I noticed something was wrong. I had too many of this, too few of that, none of these, and even some parts not on the parts list. I followed the instructions anyway and quickly realized that the stand I was reading how to build was not in the box. But A stand was. I tossed the instructions aside and started putting the pieces together. When I was done, I had a nice-looking, solid stand that I built with trial and error since the were no instructions on building this stand. No big deal, I got it built and put the printer on top of it. Very nice. I am excited again!I look for the software and pull out the DVD for SignMaster Cut. But my laptop doesn't have a DVD player. No problem, I see a USB thumb drive among the contents of the box and put it into my laptop. Boom, there's the SignMaster software on the thumb drive.I locate the install file and install the software. I plug in the vinyl cutter and try to set up the com port, baud, etc. But wait. Where is my cutter? I must have installed the software wrong (I have been working in the IT industry for 30 years, I thought I knew how to install software but I learn something new every day). So I watch the video on the thumb drive on how to install the software. On the video it asks what kind of cutter to install the software for. I don't remember it asking me this. I uninstall the software and install again, this time watching for it to ask me the type of cutter. Nope it doesn't ask me. I uninstall and reinstall, this time doing the steps at the same time they do it in the video. The video asked for the cutter type, mine did not. I go through the software and try to find how to set up the cutter, no luck. I look at the thumb drive and just start installing pretty much everything i see. Nothing. I try installing with cutter plugged into my laptop, with it unplugged, with power on, power off, I try every combination of everything I can think of over the next few days (and days). I google the issue and find a few pages but nothing helps.Great, I got a lemon. And I really wanted to cut stickers for a bike I am painting. So a month goes by and I am researching whats wrong with the cutter and then it dawns on my to get the Signmaster software from the Signmaster website. It asks me for my PSN and it allows me to download Signmaster CUT. I uninstall the current version of Signmaster then install my downloaded copy. While clicking "next" "next" "next" I see it. It is asking me what cutter I have. Something the software that came with the machine never did. I look on the side of the cutter by the power switch and read the label. I select "KI-720" from the dropdown and finish the installation (it was there too, which further excited me, I must be on the right track).I plug in the cutter, and start the software. I quickly load up a design and click cut, then click test area. The cutter makes nose and moves. "It's ALIVE!!!". So I load up some vinyl I had purchased (none came with it, boo). and click cut. It quickly and precisely cuts out the simple shape told it to. It works. After about 6 weeks, my Vinyl Cutter is finally working. And it is working really darn good.So I give the cutter 5 stars, however because I wasted 6 weeks, on and off, trying to get it working, the stand instructions were in correct and customer support is non existant this listing only gets 3 stars. It cuts vinyl fine but it make the worse sound I’ve ever heard , makes me feel like it’s about to blow upTried to get it to work. My pc can see it in my devices. I can send jobs to it .... but when I do nothing happens. Contacted seller they tried to help me... said they’d reach out to their supplier ... nearly 2 weeks later no word... this is now a glorified rack to hang stuff on.
