I was extremely hesitant on buying this as it's far cheaper than the name brand models I've used over the years in sign shops. But so far I'm impressed! Setup was easy, machine and stand were easy to assemble and I've already put it to work!This is a very simple plug and play system and surprisingly it works with multiple respected plotting softwares and the included Singmaster software will get the job done when needed. Will give another update in 1 year.I was worried at first. Never really had anything from Vevor and the reviews are mixed. But i took the chance on the 53". Ive had No problems so far and it works great. Software is fairly easy to ise and they have many tutorials.I been using this for a few months works ok for single and small items however if your making a bunch of the samethink no matter how in the blade is it drags over your work and I needed to do a 30inch piece and couldn't seem to do it as it hits and says error that was kinda a bump for the money it's great but next time I will go bigger went to move it the wheels don't like to roll and sounds like something rattling inside the machine. The rollers can move to make it easier and definitely a good one for a starterThe instructions and software were confusing, the stand doesn't match the diagram, and the language needed to be changed but I didn't pay for instructions, I paid for a vinyl cutting/plotting machine.This machine is fantastic for the price. If you've never used a vinyl cutter before then look up setup videos on youtube, blogs, or forums.You Setup The Stand- It's easier than a bionicle or Y7 lego set.- Look at the Picture On The Listing you won't find an accurate picture in the booklet. The closest looking one in the booklet might even confuse you because it has more pieces than what you actually get.Install The Software- If you don't have a CD drive, the same software is on the USB drive and you can use the same activation key.Turn it on- Plug it in *THEN* Turn the switch on. There is an emergency stop button on the backside and a reset button on the front.- Change the language to English, this will help you figure out how to use the buttons to navigate the menus.- Lower the cut force, my vinyl calls for 80g or so.- After you insert your vinyl Spring Levers in the back need to be engaged to grab the vinyl. If The levers move, if you put it too far to one side it won't roll against the wheel and it'll crumple up your vinyl immediately.Use the pen tool to test it first and make sure to select the pen tool in the cutting software.This model features a basic semi-automatic contour cutting feature and laser sensor.I wanted to get some technical support in real time but after nearly an hour (which I recorded) on the phone (mostly on hold) all the first line rep and then 30 minutes later the so-called supervisor could/would tell me is "...we can send them a message..." or "... go to their website..."I really want to know the specific dimensions of the blade holder so I can acquire a couple more to pre-set for different kinds of cutting, but they can't / won't be bothered to even answer that question...Don't waste your time trying to call Amazon for support, they can't pronounce "vinyl" let alone know anything other than "... you can return it..."When I purchased this item, I was very skeptical. It was cheap and had enough good reviews that I took a chance. It is a well made, quality machine. buy extra blades. came fast and with everything it claimed to. If you cant assemble the base you are probably not qualified to own a vinyl cutter, try a different hobby. One tip I found helpful was the "test area" button in the software. lets the machine scroll through the entire area it will be cutting before it cuts anything. this feature helps you to see what the machine is thinking before it cuts in the wrong area. super helpful. A small red sticker I put on the blade tensioning wheel lets you see in an instant if the blade will go off vinyl.i was thinking this was a 1 time use thing, its better than the 1200 dollar cutter i sent back because the more they cost aint allway the best deal, this is a great cutter so far, and ive used it a lot
