I purchased this despite some of the reviews commenting on the printer not being ready for prime time; however, it was Black Friday, so I took a chance. I set up the printer, which is nice; hardware issues seem to have been resolved. I go to the website 2YearsInk.HPInstantInk.com per the sticker on the printer. The website asks for the pin code, and I locate my "8 months" of hassle-free printing pin code. I think, surely, this must be a mistake, and they meant to include a 2-year pin code. I enter the pin code; not valid. I enter the printer code; not valid. I search the box and all materials; no pin code. I call the number; "outside working hours." So yes, not ready for prime time. I may update my review when I get through, waiting on hold to talk to someone at HP. This is a small business printer. Business owners are busy people; we have businesses to run. Disappointed that HP has not thought better of their customer's time. This could have been handled so much better.Follow-up #1 (Dec 5, 2020):I talked with Mary at HP technical support today. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes, I was connected. She was nice enough, but after 45 minutes, including emailing my Amazon receipt and pictures from the box materials, I find that she cannot do anything to help. All we did was effectively follow the 8-month process (of free ink, $40 value), and I created an HP account with this prepaid amount. I am now expecting a call from HP after reviewing with upper management to resolve what comes next. Luckily, I have an option to return until Jan 31, 2021. That may very well be the case if not resolved satisfactorily.--Not satisfied with HP, I contacted Amazon with a much more helpful result. I talked with Jimwell, who was knowledgeable and helpful. The net difference between what HP has provided ($40, which equates to 100 pages/month subscription) and the 2 years (300 pages/month) is $200. Amazon helped immediately by providing a 15% discount (which does not cover the full difference), but it is a start. HP is due to contact me on Dec 14. More to follow. Amazon (Jimwell) closed with please contact us after you talk with HP, "we have your back." Not fully resolved but much, much better support. Upped rating to two-stars based on Amazon improvement.--Follow-up #2 (December 14, 2020):I received a call from HP Instant Ink today. It was a quick call that respected my time. They credited an extra $288 to my account (on top of the $40 previously). I have upped the rating to 5 stars as the product is good, and although it was inconvenient to have to go through this process, both Amazon and HP have delivered upon customer service. The result is that the cost of the printer is effectively 3 years of a printing-as-a-service arrangement. I will still require paper, but the ink is no longer a consideration, and the printer prints well. If no follow-ups from this one, then all has gone well with ink deliveries and performance.Thank you - I hope that the review is helpful.csbeau
