This is my second review of TerraSlate paper products. My first review was for 5 mil waterproof labels, and I've been using them in a high-touch public environment for months now where they barely show any wear and tear at all. It's pretty astounding, because a normal label would have worn off almost immediately - these lasted well and are still in great condition. I'm sold on the product.When you open a package of TerraSlate paper, inside is a demo sheet made out of 5mil material. As I did last time, I tried valiantly to destroy it without much success. I tried tearing it - but it wouldn't tear with just the strength of my bare hands. I tried crumpling it up, and it got a few creases but recovered well. And I tried pouring a sugary soda on it, and it rolled right off as if it was coated in Rain-X. Astounding.This particular listing is for 10 mil A4 paper. This is unique in two ways: 10 mil is very thick, like the kind of card stock you'd use to bind a small product manual or to create a quick reference card; I measured it is accurate at 0.01 inches / 0.25 millimeters thick. (A mil is a hundredth of an inch - it's an odd unit of measure, but common in the publishing world.)More importantly, A4 is also a metric paper size, and is NOT the same 8.5"x11" letter-sized paper you're used to in the US - it's actually 8.27"x11.7". This isn't a problem if you're working with international documents or are designing around this constraint, but if you're just trying to print a document you've created in the US, you probably want one of the other TerraSlate paper listings that's in US Letter size instead.If you need highly resilient, thick paper in this size, this is an exceptional product. It really is worth the money.
