Instruction: 1: Printout the picture according to the photo parameters;the mirror side is the printing surface. 2: Cuting size. 3:Soak it in water for about 30~60 seconds, then slide the coating and paper adequately by nature. 4:Spread the bass paper slowly to make the transfer printing coating stick to the product surface. 5: Damp and soft the alabaster paper, discharge the bubble and water in the film sufficiently, and then dry the surface by absorbent paper. 6: Bake it in the oven for 10~15 minutes at the temperature of 100~110℃,or dry it by nature for 1~3 days
I am a first time user of any decal paper. I was looking for quite some time to buy some kind of paper that can transfer artwork to stretched canvas, canvas board, wood surface without losing the details of the artwork. I finally found it.I read the negative review of this product and someone said it is too thin. But because of someone mentioned it is too thin, I decide to buy it. The thin paper will make harder to transfer once it is separate after wet, but it also means the tinner it is, the final result will look less 'stuck on'.* Thin - Yes, it is very thin. But it is also strong and won't tear easily.* Transparent - It is very clear. The color of the material you are using will come through like glass.* Sticker doesn't look like plastic and it doesn't give out the glossy cheap look. It looks matted once it is applied.* Quick separation - Once the sheet is submerged in the water, it will not take long (maybe about 20 seconds) before the transparent decal paper will separate. You can actually see it start lifting from the backing paper and the decal paper start to float starting from the corner, so, no need to keep it in the water too long. Because of this reason, I found it is the best to get all material ready.* Plenty of glue backing - When I transfer the decal onto Canvas, wood, etc., I have to reposition often. Because it is thin and once the decal paper is separate from the backing sheet, it will slide around. If I am working on a small piece, it is not a big issue. But when I work on larger size, I have to take my time and reposition the decal, so it won't transfer crooked. So, a lot of glue backing helps a lot.And it does have lots of glue! It gives me plenty of the time to work without rushing through the job.* It is not the filmless decal. So, if the image is smaller than the object you are using, even though it is thin, you will still see the film when you look at them in angle. If you look at it straight, it is not easy to detect, but at an angle, you will see if it is a sticker. But, if the decal is the same size as the material you are applying to, you can't tell if it is the decal or actually prints on directly to the material. However, when I applied protective material over the decal, the edge of the decal doesn't seem that noticeable.* Laser Printer - I love the fact that it works with a laser printer. The image is burned to the paper, as it comes out of the printer, I can touch it and it can immediately put under water. ** I worked with inkjet on different image transfer method and no matter what, you can't touch the image that printed on inkjet until it is dried. And also needs to be protected with something like polyurethane before using the water. So, I personally like to work with Laser Print, rather than Ink print. I am not sure if this paper will work with Inkjet or not. I bought it for Laser printer and it works well.* End results? - See attached photos.Disclaimer: Most issues I have with this product are likely user error. I believe if one follows the instructions exactly, you'll have no problem with these decals working well for your project. I would say the one thing I found difficult was transferring the wet decal onto the chosen surface without having the decal fold a little onto itself on the edges. Otherwise, it worked pretty much as expected. I would say that the laser toner did sort of flake off on some of my items after the first wash. The decal itself came off on one or two, but I didn't follow all the instructions (as I noted above). I'll have to do some other experimenting to see how long-lasting the decals are. Overall it was a fun project for my kid and myself and we'll definitely find another use for the extra sheets.I LOVE these! I purchased these to practice making personalized mugs and cups. I've never used water slides, before, so I wanted to try with the cheaper ones before getting the more expensive, film-free version. Well, surprise, surprise! Due to a happy accident, I've discovered how to make THESE labels "film-free"! I will most DEFINITELY be purchasing more of them and forgoing the more expensive ones.Like I mentioned before, I'd never used water slides and only discovered them by accident when searching for clear laser labels. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos and after a few tries, I finally figured out a good "system". Application takes practice. Also, I've seen a lott of reviews complaining about the size, even though the listing clearly states "A4". These are NOT letter size and all printers work with A4 paper. Just set paper size to A4.So far can’t recommend this product because when I print from my laser printer I end up with only a couple usable images on the page. All others are smeared, slightly stretched or ghosting occurs.I previously tried using a SpinIt brand water slide but it was made for inkjet printers. This one is made for laserjet so definitely pay attention. This is easy to work with and I highly recommend it.Good paper, just not good to use on small print, like HO scale.I have not done decals for quite a few years and the paper I have purchased in the past has not been the greatest. This paper worked wonderful for my project. Would definitely buy it again.I wish there were instructions that explained a few things so I wouldn't have had to waste some experimenting. The material is good but takes some practice to get a nice result. Instructions would have been really helpful.I used a colour laser printer. Despite the instructions saying to just used standard paper settings for my printer, this caused the ink to smudge. But once I set it to HEAVY GLOSSY paper (it feeds the paper at half the speed) the result was perfect!I included results in photo... paper on left with the heavy paper setting while the right is on standard!!Please note I am using this for fishing rod decals. The thinness of the decal works for me as I need to apply a protective layer over rod and decal. No bad reactions. If you are using this on something else without protective spray I cannot comment. For the price this product costs I would have expected better quality performance from the printed decal slides. I'm using work industrial KYOCERA Colour Laser printer. The sheet is left to set for 72 hours (3 days). The water slide is incredibly thin so you must be extremely diligent/careful when applying. Additionally the printed portion will crack or come off if you use anything but a tissue and slight dabbing pressure to work out the water and bubble. I'd save your money and look into another brand.Decals are delicate, they will crease and tear if mishandled. Will advise anyone without scale model building experience to watch a few videos on how to apply decals before purchasing. Print tests or duplicates if you're unsure you will get it first time around.Bought laser transfer paper to create miniature logos for N64 build. A note should be made that images with white will require a white background for the transfer to lay on top of. I printed a few extra decals knowing that I might make a mistake at first.Steps after decals are printed:1) Soak in room temp water for 4s for 1x2" decal2) Remove and allow water to penetrate for an additional 10s (decal should decouple from white backing)3) Slid the decal off the backing onto model. Don't treat it like a sticker, think of it more like sliding hot pizza from the pan to your plate.4) Minor adjustments using a wet brush and as little pressure as possible.5) Left to dry overnight6) Clear coat added for protection.Laser printer used was a Samsung C460 printer using picture quality setting. Paper did not jam and toner adhered to gloss side of paper without issue. Be sure you know what side your printer will throw toner on before loading the decal paper.bought this as an idea for arts and craft birthday party for 12 year olds, they had horrible effort in trying to wrap around mugs. lolI had to redo all of them to help, not easy.but even if you get through that touch step and get it on nicely, they don't last very long if you have to wash it, so my recomendation is not to wrap things that get washed requently or it will fade and peel off, even if you bake it.This item does not work. I left it soaking for a minute as directed and it did not move. I tried soaking longer and it still did not come off the backing paper. Tried gently prying it off and ruined several prints in the process. Printed beautifully but that doesn’t help if you can’t get it on the substrate.
