It's a Printer Driven cash drawer, so it only can be connected to receipt printer, not pos system or computer directly. 1. Your application(pos system) on computer or iPad sends the correct command to receipt printer, tells it to open the cash drawer. 2. The printer's driver is configured to open the cash drawer at the start or end of any printout. Note: Some of the pos system contain the command, but others don't. Without that, we should go to set by the printer and check to see what options are available within the printer's driver. Hope this would help.
