So the product has a significant price mark up and is only a 750g roll and not the 1 Kg std. The supposed features of this plus (+, performance, enhanced) pla are not noticeable compared to my experience with normal pla. It does require a higher printing temp. which I would hope would correlate to higher heat tolerance, but it hasn't been used in an environment where that's a concern. The product isn't bad in and of itself, but the marketing and packaging are terrible. As mentioned before price is significantly higher with no significant quality/performance difference. the packaging is a flimsy paper board box that is a struggle to re-use for storage. The vacuum sealed bag has a zip lock, but I couldn't get it to re-seal, the bag is cut down to small to allow extra material for you to re-vacuum seal yourself. Despite already going cheap an knocking 250g off the normal spool size, Kodak couldn't resist making the actual spool holding the filament about 1/3rd the size of a spool for 1 Kg of filament (extremely undersized). The result of this decision is there is too much filament for the spool to actually hold when full so you have to babysit prints to make sure the filament the is flopping off the spool constantly doesn't get rapped around and bound on other part of your printer. I don't know why anyone would buy this, I don't know why Kodak bothered to sell it (no pride in their image I guess).Update: After attempting many prints and tweaks to configuration this filament continues to be frustrating. Despite the minimum print temp. being documted as 210, it only prints decently at 205. Regardless of speed, if the temp is higher or lower than 205 the layers come out gummy with blobs that make any print a failure. With the temp dialed in it will print decently except for some reason supports. The support structures are always a bloby inconsistent density throughout sometimes making them to weak to serve their purpose or creating blobs and strings that catch on the nozzle and interfere with the actual print. Like others, I found the filament to be very brittle and snaps easily which was a real problem when the spool was full as the spool is too smal for the amount of filament and would readily slide off the spool and get hung up on the printer frame where it would snag and snap. The prints that have not failed are very strong compared to other pla and thin layers are very flexible and don't act as brittle as the filament. On an overhang test print it was able to hold 75° with a 0.2 nozzle and 0.8 layer height. When prints come out there are some good qualities with this filament that make me want to be able to use it for certain applications, but so far its performance is to inconsistent for me to purchase again. Its behavior is very odd/inconsistent leaves me wondering if I just got a really poor quality spool, but I have watched several reviews now that showed similar frustrating performance.i haven’t used this roll in over 6 months. the first 1/4 of the roll printed fantastically, and the prints looked good. around that point, the roll became improperly wrapped, causing the filament to get stuck in the roll. not great if you leave your printer unattended!!! i’m not risking it again.Pros:1. Prints sufficiently well. No major issues in general printing, prints like most other PLA and PLA+ (tested on direct drive at 215 extruder and 60 bed)2. Color is nice and as shown on the Amazon product pageCons:1. Price. You only get 750g for more than other's 1Kg. Priced like some exotic filaments but this is only subpar PLA. Don't fall for paying extra for a brand name filament, there are far far better and less expensive alternatives.2. Extremely brittle. Doesn't bend, simply snaps. A real problem for some taller prints and printer setups and when trying to secure the end through the spool's side holes for storage3. Wavy. The filament on the spool is not straight. It has odd waves in it. Could cause extrusion issues on smaller details and at faster speeds. In over 8 years of printing experience, I've never seen this before on any filament, even from the cheapest brands. Strange.4. Poor bridging. Tested multiple temperatures and cooling settings, material simply won't bridge well. Bridges even worse than PETG.5. Comes with a reusable ziplock bag, but bag doesn't seal properly. Useless.6. Packaging. Their packaging box is thin and flimsy and uses a weird sleeve style insert. Seems like a minor point, but when you have lots of filament to store and manage, this is paint point.I bought this because I had used PETG from Kodak which prints great. I got the PLA+ for a project and the color is great. However, the filament on the roll I received was extremely brittle where the filament would repeatedly snap causing failed prints. You just never knew when it would snap and the next thing you know - the filament run out sensor gets triggered because the filament snapped. I have never had this happen with any brand of filament - Hatchbox, Overture, eSun, even crappy SunLu. I am returning this because it is simply unusable. This roll may have been in storage an extremely long time causing the filament to be brittle. In the days of Covid19 - we're scraping the back of the warehouse so feel free to return anything that isn't working properly ASAP.I ordered this filament due to most other PLA plus/pro being out of stock. The filament prints very clean and defined, has standard gloss. Very strong, printed a 210C. Disappointed that it was only 750g roll instead of the average of 1kg roll for the cost, but I knew that from the description so it does not effect the overall rating.Update-this filament has a nice Orange color, but the print is very brittle. It is strong but once it exceeds strength it just snaps compared to other PLA Plus filaments.I've done about three decent-sized prints now using this. So far it sticks just fine to my bed (hairspray on a glass bed) and prints fine. I took off one star because the filament is kind of wavy, which could cause problems for some printers. I use a Bowden setup (Ender 3 with Micro Swiss hotend) and have no issues yet, but I know that some other printers might. I've never seen filament that is wavy like this, so wonder what Kodak is doing at their manufacturing plant.The filament worked well once I dialed in its settings. I had to slow down my retraction speeds and increase my extrusion temperature by 20C to make this work as well as my usual filament.Bought 2 spools of PLA+ noticed that filament is bent on the winding itself. I thought it would straighten during extrusion but print fails everytime. Models are less than an 1hr print. Opened 2nd spool but same results.The issue seems thats the filament would caught or it curls putting too much pressure. Direct drive without reverse bowden may work unless its thw knot issue.Opened a new spool from esun and printed without issue. New spool from ultimaker also has no issue.
